One of the inspirations behind Zvents is Google Maps. When we saw how the team at Google had created a navigable way of presenting place information that truly enhanced user understanding, we said, “Why can’t we do the same thing with time *and * location information?” So we made our search results viewable in lists, in Google Maps, and in a variety of dynamic calendar forms. We’re pretty impressed with Google Maps – the API is great, the service is free, and the net result is highly interactive and dynamic. Check out this map search result for theater in San Jose next month – with dynamic lists inside the popup balloons, this is a key part of our presentation of time/place information.
